Bit of a mixed bag over the past couple of days...
Friday
* Beginners Agility: E. First class of the day. Both Bella and I were not exactly settled. Leapt off the seesaw and the A Frame. Popped out the weaves and a couple of other things. Winner got 10 faults and I think all others were E'd?
* Beginners Steeplechase 2: E. Everyone was E'd in this! Bella got a clear round. I broke a rule and got us E'd. Oops
* Beginners Steeplechase 1: C and 1st Point scoring run and the only clear in the class.
* Beginners Jumping: 3rd with 5 faults.
* Beginners Steeplechase 3: 2nd with 5 faults.
For the 2nd time in her agility career, a dog finished its run and came out of the ring after Bella, even though we were nowhere near the finish. No contact made, but it's no wonder she can be on lead reactive I was about to put Bella behind me and have words with the dog concerned when it eventually went back to its owner.
Saturday
* Beginners Agility: 2nd with 5 faults and time faults ( ) Bella got a scare yesterday from crashing the seesaw, so jumped off the dog walk. Didn't think we were slow enough to get time faults, but makes no odds.
* Beginners Jumping: 7th with 5 faults
* Beginners Steeplechase 1: 1st with 5 faults
* Beginners Steeplechase 2: 7th with 10 faults
No points for progression today, but was particularly chuffed to win Beginners Steeplechase 1 as the course was tricky! Some people elected not to run it after walking it. I took it really slowly as I was trying to remember the course. Forgot which way 7 was after 6 and was sending Bella the wrong way. Got her back, bless her little fluffy tootsies, but was then all wrong for the tunnel (8) and hopelessly behind for 9. So she ran past it and got 5 faults. She was such a good girl
This is my appalling bad drawing of the course (not to scale LOL)
We won thanks to Jeff training us way above our grade. If only I could get us up to the next grade
