Ajax 12th and 13th

Dexter and I have had a mixed two days at Ajax.
Friday we managed our second agility clear and came third. Went on to try steeplechase and dexter was not interested at all. Wouldn't start and then really never got into it. We went clear but got time faults as he was so slow. Gave up on day after that.
Saturday he was like a different dog and threw himself round the agility course. Another clear so we now have all our points and progress to Novice. Sadly downhill from there. Jumping was another slow start and a plod around the ring. Clear but time faulted again. Very unspringer like. Steeplechase was a mess as I accidentally started the timer whilst trying to get him to begin and then we missed a jump. 5 faults and time faults! Happy to end our competing year on a high though by going up. Good rest over winter now and try again next year.
Fab to see other scallywag ladies and dogs there too doing well.

we had a reasonable day too, big handling error on my part got him Ed in our agility, all because I wanted to get ahead of him for the dogwalk, then weave entry got us 10f in jumping, but did go clear in steeplechase , didn.t think that I would be able to work him with all the goose feathers and Po about, but he did ,

As for us it was Magic and my first competition this time last year at Ajaxs and so this year it was great to finish on a high although STILL yet to score on Agility as we faulted again today ME! and Magic very enthusiastic!! but well over with our jumping points although e'd today!! We have been promoted to Senior Steeplechase which I'm absolutely thrilled about!!! We got a clear and then a second today giving me the points we needed!!! Next year is our year for AGILITY!!! But looking back over all the videos I can see we have most definitely improved since we started and still we are hooked!!
