Dexter and I had a good day at Quad Paws today. Came 3rd in one steeplechase and unplaced clear in another steeplechase. Knocked 2 poles in agility to finish 5th. Last run of the day was another clear in jumping but left before the results. Little bit of messing around in the queue but great running starts all day without hesitation. Really pleased that the training is paying off. Thank you again Jeff.

Disaster day for us although some nice 1-10 moments handler clearly not switched on today the courses just did not go in!!! Pleased with her weave entry but a learning curve no more 3 day in a rows!! My brain is fried!!! But on a positive note we got a 4th in senior steeple on Saturday and it was great to watch Ang and her running starts and Beth do so well!! See how we go this week then back to training with a vengeance!! Hope the rest of the Scallywaggers had a good weekend might see some of you this week!!

Wednesday---- We had a cocker day out down by the river today, BillyBob's nose in play again today, in the agility did a lovely seesaw but got Ed at a tunnel under the Aframe, and then popped out weaves in the jumping,(nose)!! got a steady clear in his 2nd novice steeplechase, got a 1st for that one, small entry but was 5sec faster than the 2nd placed cocker :-) last run of the day he didn't like the scribe's hat and sun-glasses so wouldn't start, had to reposition so he got 5f without starting the clock. Mr George had a run too today, he was flying , 17 jumps on the coarse he did 20

So Wednesday I left before I could get my steeplechase results turns out we won the class!! Woohoo!! Today, although the results don't show it, we had a great day , steeplechase she pulled away like we had practiced in training (thanks Jeff) I was so excited about that I didn't give her enough space to do the next jump! Doh! Then e'd in agility by back weaving but she got all her contacts yay! And jumping flew round the course but unfortunately Magic clipped the long jump probably something I did! I'll hopefully work it out later watching the video (thanks Jackie) great watching Jackie and BillyBob have some lovely runs too she'll tell you more!!

Yep we had another good day, much more focused, if a bit steady but then he runs alongside his slow handler, BillyBob had his 1st beginners agility clear today, sat there in the lead till the last dog went(very few clears) who was much faster than us. then he missed the 1st weave pole in the jumping for 5f, came 4th but they only placed the 2 clear rounders Finished off his day with a 2nd with a clear in novice steeplechase,. Mr George, decided to try him over a senior midi course today, (not competed for 3 years), just failed to get him in the tunnel cleanly so picked up 5f was such a good boy and so up for it and with no training The weather was just right for us today

I was going to Jo but have given it a miss a combination of weather and the fact that the last 10 days we have competed on 7 of them (I'm including club) but I overdosed Magic last year I think so am now looking forward to a training session this week club comp and Watford I may hit UKA nationals on full force though!! I'm thinking I made the right decision as magic only emerged at 9!! Very dopey doggy this morning!! When do you think you and Bella will be back or is she going to retire? :-(

Sounds like you made the right decision for today I'm not sure when we will be back Bella is having some intensive therapy - weekly hydro, acupuncture, physio, massage, ultrasound and chiropractic treatment - plus exercises that I am doing at home. It's 'just' muscular and once we sort that out, the plan is for Jeff and me to do some grids with Bella so she learns to jump properly and hopefully avoid further injury I think it's a throwback to an original injury she picked up a few years back. Once she gets sore she reverts to pain avoidance and so measures her jumps and tucks her back legs up to avoid stretching them out (cos it hurts!). It becomes a vicious circle as tucking her back legs up is not good and so she develops other sore bits! We'll be back
