For us its nearly the end of the season with just one show left. Then the hard work starts with training over winter to iron out the bad habits!! As I look back over the summer I realise Miage and I have had a really fab season! We qualified for 4 finals and got several other top ten places along with a jumping win. Our first final was the Adams Derby. I love this class! Miage got all her contacts and went on to do an excellent jumping round and we finished up 3rd The next final was at Dogs in Need. I've always wanted to qualify for this one and never have so decided this year to give it one last shot....success! The final was really exciting with a fantastic atmosphere. Miage rose to the occasion and did a brilliant round apart from coming off the see-saw, think it was a combination of me moving sideways a fraction too early and her slipping. Unfortunately it resulted in an E but I have to say it was probably the best run we've ever done Next was the pairs. Great fun but both Miage and Buzz were excited beyond belief by the atmosphere, it didn't go according to plan and we never made it past the first round. Last but not least we were in the Adams 4-7 Jumping Cup Final. This was probably the most nerve wracking as most of the other dogs and handlers were either grade 6or7. I must admit to feeling a little intimidated by the line up! However yet again Miage rose to the occasion and did a blinding clear round and we ended up 8th out of 36 so I was really chuffed. Again she gave it her best and I don't think I could have done better. We just got beaten by faster dogs...I can handle that!! Just to finish off...we have also qualified for the Scallywags 4-7 final to be held at the field at a later date A pretty good season and I'm looking forward to doing it all again next year!!
