Advice please: What pet insurance co do you use? Thistle (4 yo Welsh Terrier) is insured with John Lewis as when a puppy it said all the right things (long term; not exclusive), Currently price £365, renewal comes in at £483 - £120 more! No claims at all.
How can an insurance co justify that?! Well they couldn't so I need to review and I think the best advice is from other pet friends. If you have any ideas please let me know as I think I'm being ripped off!

Shop around - some companies offer lifetime cover (useful for things like diabetes, allergies, cruciate injuries) but this will increase your premium. Some will offer a lower premium for a higher excess. Both mine are with PetPlan - I don't have any experience of any other pet insurance companies to oompare them too, but they have been low hassle so far, having made at least one claim for each dog. Just be sure to read T&C thoroughly! What suits one owner may not suit another, and different policies may give different levels of cover.
